DoorDash
This goes to show, even if you haven’t worked somewhere long (like three months before mass layoffs), you can still create something worthwhile.
Whataburger
The ask: Create a promo campaign surrounding DoorDash’s newest restaurant partner.
After researching the brand, I realized what a staple Whataburger was to southern cities. I proposed doing a regionally focused ad, in addition to our general launch, to help speak to those die-hard fans specifically. It was a simple execution with the headline, “Welcome, home Whataburger” vs. “Welcome, Whataburger” but it had great results.
Followed by regional and generic paid social, an in-app announcement, email, and push notification.
More partnerships
Nothing like Knicks and Nascar! These promos lived across emails and digital banners within the app.
Back to School
The ask: Spread more brand awareness that DoorDash can be your go-to for back-to-school shopping.
I focused on ease and savings via email, in-app banners, and a mailer.
Not to mention a quick and catchy radio spot to stand out from the back-to-school clutter.
Summer of DashPass
The ask: Advertise exclusive, limited-time savings from different restaurants every week to DashPass Members.
Since this promo had a long run, it needed a ton of new material each week. I stepped in to assist another writer with the workload so we had to be totally in sync on everything that was written to avoid inconsistencies and repetition.
